The Bengali Club USA organized the vibrant celebration of Durga Puja on October 5-6, 2024 in New York City, United States. As per all media houses and the people – A History was Scripted !!! A user wrote, “That’s the spirit NYC, Jai Maa Durga, the respect and recognition Indians are getting abroad nowadays was never seen or given before.” Another user commented, “It is a proud moment for all Indians to see India’s culture and civilizations being respected across the world.” The Telegraph, India said “Durga Puja debuts at the heart of New York City, Times Square, with dhak and aroma of incense” Several people had even flown over from other states, like Florida and California, to participate in the puja, staying overnight in hotels. Other than Bangladeshis visitors included devotees of Indian, Nepalese, Guyanese, and some of Pakistani origin, too.
